Many Broward area restaurants have closed or are only offering takeout and delivery options. With many restaurant workers out of work, you can help them continue to operate and remain open by shopping from the comfort of your homes, or by picking up your order with curve-side assistance.

As things begin to move back to normal, and restaurants begin to open their doors once again to invite us to dine at their establishments, we encourage you to practice:

Safety First!

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Practice Social Distancing and keep 6 feet between yourself and others.
Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care.
Wear a facemask.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Follow these tips when you eat out in one of your favorite Broward County restaurant

Exterior queuing is allowed while maintaining the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention recommended 6-foot distance between customers.
Maintain health and sanitary standards for all surfaces.
Use proper health precautions when handling credit/debit cards and cash.

Ordering Take-out

Remember the following take-out or curve-side pickup tips

Interior queuing is allowed while maintaining distance of six (6) feet between customers.
Where possible, deliver take-out to vehicles or identify pick-up lanes for vehicles.
Suggest specific pick-up times.
A 5-foot pedestrian path must always be maintained outside of restaurants.
Dining on the right-of way for takeout customers is prohibited.
Encourage food orders during off-peak hours.

What general precautions can you take

Follow these tips to demising your exposure to Covid-19.

Keep your distance. Social and physical distance must apply at all times.
Use hand sanitizers at all times, before and after transactions.
Minimize human contact, wash your hands and maintain good hygiene practices.

How to Participate

To participate, post a picture of a person or a business owner delivering goods using all recommended safety precautions - at least six feet away, with each person wearing a mask (if possible) - and add a hashtag. Then, challenge three friends or co-workers to do the same with at least three more people.
